Hi Flow Valve Question
My KM/Head1980 Hi Flow Valve came shipped with four washers of different thickness. I'm wondering, quite simply: Which one will give me the biggest power boost?

Bump...
I'm also curious if using a hi-flow valve will cause my HW G19's rocket/floating valve (or any other parts of the gun for that matter) to break faster? Thanks, Mirage

The different thicknesses of the shims correlate to how high you want the striking surface to be. I set it as high as possible, but not so high that you have problems seating the magazine in the magwell. Typically, I adjust the head so that it's as close to being flush with the surface of the magazine without going past. Fill the mag with some gas to check the final height of the striking surface. When there's gas in the mag, it may cause the striking surface to stick out further than intended. You may need to inspect the valve's height every couple of mags shot off. As the valve's o-rings settle in the head may begin to extend past the original setting of the height. YouTube - KM Head Flow Valve Height on KSC G19 Quote:
There will also be a bit more stress on all the moving parts of the gun, but it can typically take it for a long period of time. Sure, you could be gentle on your gun and baby it... but it's not as much fun, is it? 8) |
