I'd compare them.
My fall-back answer to this is always going to be a spring rifle.
And in that category it goes to the VSR series.
The G-spec probably wins because it's already scope-ready, and it's SO easy to work on that gun (all VSR series are easy to work on).
Upgrades are plentiful, reliability is SO GOOD, and the action is awesome.
Even stock, it's a fun gun to play with. Get shot alot, but it's consistent enough that getting a good shot is satisfying.
It is lightweight, but that's fixable, and over time, the power and trigger can be greatly improved (and it's not *TOO* expensive, especially considering the base price of the rifle)
