STANMAG questions

I heard the FAMAS runs on STANMAG, which is the standard m16/m4 mags. Is that true? It would be easier to find mags for it

I appreciate your help. It was a question of if they were the same, not how to moddify it But i guess that answers my question then.

I think you are referring to a "STANAG" compatible magazine ;
