Who did you buy it from? Ask if they will refund you because it is defective.

Do you plan on attending airsoft events?
If so it wouldn't have been usefull for that anyways. Yes you may have just wasted all that money, but you wouldn't be the first to make that mistake and definetly won't be the last. Good news is as long as you're the type to learn from your mistakes, it's not a total loss. |

Notice in his age, it says he's 13. I'm not so sure he's skirmishing anytime soon, really.
G-Swat, the gun is junk. However, from what I can see, perhaps it's a problem with the contacts.

It could have been damaged enroute. BOYS guns are delicate like that.
You can get your dad to complain to Canada Post, they can reimburse you. 007's pretty good, and Ken Cheung's a good guy. I don't think he screwed you over.

i know it was probably damaged while shipping and that sucks because in kens warranty it says he wont fix it or anything if it was damaged while shipping...and we dont really have like 500$ to buy a good quality gun like that..

It doesn't matter at this point anyways, like "Bob" said you're 13.(which I failed to look at before)
Forget about airsoft for now till you're older. If you want to shoot something get your parents to buy you a clear canadian tire gun of some sort. In all reality you should just forget about shooting anything and go make more friends and play video games or better yet start to figure out what good girls are n stuff. In other words go live the life of a youth for abit cause trust me it goes by fast and you'll have plenty of time to shoot things when you're older if you choose. |

Sorry, but forming a little team of people your age is asking for too much trouble.
You are not even supposed to have an airsoft gun in your hands in the first place. Your parents should know better, but hey, what happens to you is their problem. Boys guns are extremely cheap; in cash and in quality. So someone gave you a $250 fragile toy. It's a fact you must cope with. Since from what I read you still have not given anyone here clear symptoms of what does not work at all, or that you are using the right batteries, or that they are even placed in the gun properly, or that you know anything about electrical wiring... Nobody can help you. It's like going to a garage on foot, saying your car does not work, and not being able to say what make/engine/year/problem you are facing. The mechanic will just look at you funny. Fixing it yourself? Good luck is all I can say. From what I've seen of those guns I would not even try to fix them. Pray it's only a loose connector or another dinky simple reason. Can you solder wire and follow a circuit? Check if the wiring is broken or shorted. Check if your batteries are decent. If you cant afford good batteries, well... From what I can see you have 5 years to save money for something better. |

I made the mistake of buying a BOYS M-4 as well, and I think I had the same problem. You can try one of two things:
1- Hit it on the side of the reciever until it works, which it sounds like you did. 2- Don't run it on cheap AAs. I tried all sorts of brands and the only ones that worked were the more expensive ones like Duracel. Honestly, let the kid play with it in his basement. If he likes airsoft, he will be able to find out from something cheap like the BOYS and be out ~$250 rather than $800. |
