WA Strayer-Voight Std 5''

somebody owns this bad guy ? somebody could sell it to me , at a very reeasonable price but he says he's been running it with green gas ( a website I saw said it can only use HFC134a ).

tell me what you think 'bout that

WA SVIs can handle propane for some time, but with the stock slide and the stock recoil spring, they will break. Some people get cracks after a thousand rounds, some get them on the first shot, but propane will definitely cause a very premature death of a WA pistol. If he's got an upgraded hammer spring, which can be necessary in warmer temperatures, the hammer will also die at some point.

If you can inspect the gun before you buy, take the slide off and examine it. If the price is cheap enough, it might warrant replacing the slide and other parts.

that's a good point . though HFC134a would be safer , right ?

Got one myself, been using propane (green gas) for over a year and it still work perfectly.

Yes HFC1344a is safer (less powerfull gas)

is it a big deficit of power if you use HFC 134a ? and is that gas hard to pass customs ?

Yes, HFC 134a is weaker then green gas, but good enough for a non metal slide pistol. it isn't TOO weak to. And any comprised gas cant be shipped by air, so if you consider getting something out of Canada keep that in mind.

But just use duster gas. Or get a flow restrictor which allows you to use propane in ur gun ( from MadMax @ Airsoft innovation http://www.airsoft-innovations.com/i...ducts&id=AI-03 ) or just get a metal slide, and better internals.

I recommend the flow restrictor (cheap way of modding it to accept green gas, read over the link i sent you, or ask MadMax here, if you have other questions.) , but if you have the money get a metal slide for it, cuss it will look much better

Here is a example of one.

do some researching and u will find a place that sells SV 5" std metal slides. but changing the slide is about as hard as putting in the restrictor.
