TM P226 Gas Usage

Does anybody have some sort of table, chart, ratio etc. that shows how much gas/money it costs per x ammount of shots? Which type of gas, location and the location as where to aquire the gas is also asked. Any other comments regarding this gun would also be appreciated.

Not quite sure what your looking for as gas usuage will vary depending on conditions and upgrades. Warm/Cold weather and upgrades will differ the amount of gas usage you use. Also, depending on what you use duster/propane/etc will also vary as to how many shots you get. It is also hard to always get the same fill on your mags, so shots will vary there as well.

Hm. OK. Sorry for not being very clear on my first post. Could you specify whether warm/cold conditions will increase or decrease effeciency as well as telling me if a metal parts, for example, would use more gas.

well warm weather will by far give you your best results as it allows the gas to expand, while in colder weather the gas will more then likely either freeze or come out mostly in a few shots as it stays more in a liquid state.
Upgrading to a metal slide and heavier springs/etc will also cause you to use more gas, as it will take more gas to make the action work (hope that makes sense).

Basically what are you looking at doing, maybe this should be asked first then we can answer the question you are more then likely looking for.

I get about a mag and a half of bbs per fill on propane.

yeah see in my 226 I can average between 1 1/2 mags to 3 mags before refills and she's fully upgrade both internally and external.

my KSC G23f is about 2 mags with a metal slide, and enhanced springs.

my TM Desert Eagle averages about 2 to 3 mags. stock. Dont know how it will preform once I put my internal upgrades and 10" metal kit on.

my KSC G17 is about 2 mags.

I use to have 2 TM MK23's and they both went through about 1 to 2 mags between refills.

Temperature ranges I played in were from about 3 to 30 degrees.

I only use Propane for my gas.

dont see what the gas fuss is about concerning costs...

i mean, if you got yourself a metal slide and a propane adaptor...the cost of propane wont run you into the poorhouse...id be more concerned with the cost of upgrading it to a metal gun...

If you can't afford a canister of propane and one of Carl's adaptors for less than $50, you can't afford to play....

Since the propane revolution, I don't think I've ever been concerned with gas costs. BBs, food for the field and gas for the tank always eclipse the occasional propane tank purchase.

And they're dirt cheap!
