Need your opinion.

I need this part:

I found a retailler in the states who sells it at good price. My question, its pretty obvious that its not a real firearm barrel since the inner barrel and hop up housing is showing, will it get seized? In not used to order by myself I always go throught canadian retail but they're really screwing me up on this. It retail 117USD and they are selling it for 230-250cnd,

I would buy it from a local retailer. By time you get that into Canada, its going to cost nearly the same, but you will also have to worry about it being seized. From a Canadian dealer you pay a little more, but you know you're going to get it.

The chances of it being seized are low, sure, but I personally would not take the chance.

Usually, I'd agree but that is a LARGE price difference.

It's a metal tube with no rifling, no threads, and is unlikely to ever be identified as something remotely firearm-related unless declared so on the package. Even then, barrels are not controlled articles here and are not subject to import restrictions unless they're prohibited handgun barrels (which this is most obviously not).

I'd order it from the States without hesitation.

I agree. This should be looked at by customs as nothing more than a copper tube.

You may want to look at what Canadian Customs thinks before saying that. Sorry, but in the US where you live you can get anything. We cant.

In general, it is far simpler and cheaper to order things from Canadian Retailers.
Then there is no gamble or risk; you get what you pay for.

If you order it, hask them to label it as a paintball part or toy part. That's how I got my stuff from hong kong.

It was all M24 parts. I had them remove all labels and original packages too, just to be on the safe side.

Yeah I'd probably do the same thing because that is such a big price difference. If I could I would order the metal slide and frame for my Desert Eagle .50AE from Japan because the price difference over here is just crazy. But no way in hell that the metal frame and slide will ever get through customs, so I'm forced to get it for that crazy price.

Well, Don't try to scam the customs for real prohibited parts. I did that just to save the assle of them confiscating small airsoft internal parts. I won't try that with complete guns or frame parts. In this case, canadians retaillers are there for you.

That sounds like a stereo-typical Quebec joke there Droc! (Of course hey deserve it, they ARE the province that gave the world Ski-Doos!)
