Does this require modification? VFC 416

I have a 2017 VFC HK416. Is really like to put an SMR rail on the end instead of the heavy, bulky (and sharp!) quad rail.

I've seen Bad Dragon 416 m lok rails before, and I've heard they required some modification to fit the VFC. I'm now seeing Matrix has come out with their version of the SMR, and I'm wondering if that needs modification too? Link to product is listed below

I don't mind doing some hands-on work, just wondering what to expect in quality and modification.
