Possible to fix a cracked lower receiver?
I have a PTS RM4 Scout ERG made by KWA - I'm trying to sort out how to get a new lower receiver but in anticipation of my attempts failing is anyone aware if you can spot weld a cracked receiver?

Not unless it's actually made of a material that can be welded.
Nothing short of actual fusion is going to fix it. Now queue the people who think JB weld is just as good as welding. |

Hahaha JB weld is good for plastics that don't vibrate or suffer impact much.
Welding is your best bet because once these things break it's off to the police station to get destroyed because tossing it in the public garbage is a big no-no apparently. |

Other than it being "all metal" I don't know what specifically it is... and I can't find a website for the actual manufacturer (KWA is not actually a manufacturer apparently... the company that makes it is Yih Kai and they don't have a website that I have been able to locate). Needless to say... I won't be buying anything with the letters "KWA" on it any more, no matter how good the reviews are.
