CREE LED for PEQ box
I have been looking around for a while and I cannot figure this out. I got my hands on a functioning G&P PEQ 15 box. the laser works fine and multimeter shows proper voltage on the light. BUT the light bulb is broken and no longer works.
The sad part is I cannot figure out what type of LED I am suppose to order for this model. Is it something I can buy from canadiantire or homedepot? |

You need to determine the voltage applied across the LEDs terminals and then order one that matches that. Box stores dont sell that stuff, look on digikey or mauser

I would order from aliexpress or dealextreme if I were you. But for the rest Orpheus got it right.

The voltage across is 4.0v but for life of me i have never seen this kind of LED before.
And there is no part number anywhere on it. Sent from my SM-G9208 using Tapatalk

That can be broken out to three different parts I think. The Cree LED board, driver board, and that tubular body or whatever it's called. Either the driver board or led needs to be replaced. Go to Dx.com or aliexpress.com to find replacement parts would be my suggestion.

Or take a look to see if there's a bad solder joint...
