e's Tokyo Marui HK45: "US Army Special Forces"

Greetings all!!

Some of you know about this gun build already.

I've been pining over this gun for the past three years. When I held the real steel one in Las Vegas, I was all in for it.

It's the most comfortable pistol I think I have ever held. It certainly lives up to what you hear about it in terms of ergonomics as far as I'm concerned.

I've always loved the USP. So when I heard they made an airsoft version of the 45, I jumped at the chance. I bought the KWA HK45 one first but that was plagued with the same old KWA USP problems. The HK45 internals were a derivative of the USP, you see.

I then found out about Marui's plans to build a an HK45 of their own. So I pined some more at preview pics from shot shows and what have you...

Now it's here. And I finally acquired one of my own. No more pining.

So this is what I did with it.
This is my take on Tokyo Marui's HK45....

****KUWABARA KUWABARA****

This gun has a steel slide kit installed made by RA-Tech. The kit came with a steel outer barrel as well.

It has nice and deep HK logo engravings and the "45". Along with the ".45 Auto". The serial number is inked on. Something I don't like but the real one is like that too (I think?).

This slide has an insignia engraved. It's actually the US Army Special Forces insignia. But for the hell of it, im going to ignore that my KA-BAR is a USMC KA-BAR. Continuity Break!

It's not particularly sexy but I thought it might add a bit of "uniqueness" to the gun.

The barrel is the same deal. Nothing special there...

The gun is rigged with a near "no resistance" slide stroke. Being a steel slide, it is imperative that the action is nice and precise. Straight to the point. This is done through barrel modifications and precise slide-to-frame manipulation.

As a result, the gun can clear a full stack of BBs with no issues.
The kick is uncanny. I'd compare it to that of the Marui 5-7, one of the strongest kicking gas pistols on the market today...

This gun is HEAVY, as far as airsoft goes. My ultimate goal was to put on as much weight as possible to increase the felt recoil of the whole set up.

I'm proud to say, I've succeeded.
It weighs 930g with an uncharged mag inserted!!!

Internally, the gun features an A+ 6.01 tightbore inner barrel and an A+ bucking.

I wasn't too crazy about the Tightbore, but the combination of both A+ units seems to give it decent accuracy output. It's not great at long ranges (70+ ft.) but it's amazingly accurate at short ranges (50ft and under)...like all poor performing gas pistols. LOL .

Oh well..
dems the breaks..

I hope "they" make a frame soon. I don't particularly like the Marui markings.

Yes, I'm a one of THOSE guys. I care about trades.....eerrrr sometimes..

Alternate Set Up:

THe gun is also rigged with an enhanced recoil spring, an enhanced main spring, some cool sights and an enhanced piston head.

Minor things but otherwise needed.

For the Salient Arms lovers...

...yes. I have two slide kits...

This gun chronoes at 317 - 325 FPS with a high output magazine valve, .20g BB Bastards and propane.

Kicks like a tank firing and can clear a full stack of BBs even with a steal slide.

What more can I ask for!!

The Parts Kit:

-RA-Tech Steel Slide and Barrel kit
-A+ 6.01 Tight Bore inner barrel
-A+ hop up bucking
-NineBall Night Sights
-NineBall Hammer spring
-NineBall DYNA Piston head for Marui HK45
-Modified Guarder P226 recoil spring
-Hi-output magazine blowoff valve (I forget who makes them but they are the ones for the Deagle as well).

Many thanks to Turok_T (as usual), BioRage, PestoBanana and gotchya24!
This could not have been done without you all!

Now for some nostalgia...
My old KWA HK45!!!!!

That's for now folks!
See you next build!!!!

Any plans to try and work in a reliable suppressor set up?

Prolly not.
I'm not a suppressor type guy.
That threaded barrel sticking out is kind of a downer.

Plus my suppressor is not funky enough. lol.

willing to perform services in a dark alley that may or may not leave you satisfied for a title. GFE = 1, looks = 2, BBFS for an extra $50.

Nice pics! Would you happen to have a photo of the sight picture on the RA-Tech slide? On my stock TM HK45 the front sight (both the sight pin and the dot on the sight pin) is too small in relation to the rear sight (compared to e.g. a stock TM G17), so I find it slower to align the sights compared to some other pistols.

My HK45 also shoots low in relation to where I aim (approx. 4 cm low on 4 meters), so I don't use this one for IPSC style training at all. Have you noticed this on yours or do I have a lemon?

Have been thinking of ways to fix this, but can only really come up with finding a lower front sight or higher rear sight or possibly sand down the front sight somewhat (but that creates a problem with the white dot).

The bore axis is pretty high on this gun i have to admit.
I guess you'll just need to adjust to it.
