It's taken a while to actually finish this off - i started working on it in fits and starts, last winter.
I had a KJW Sig P229 that I acquired for a compact carry/variety. Only problem was, in sourcing a left-handed, minimalist holster that could fit tightly up against a plate carrier for a chest-carry.
The solution was in getting a craptastic compact-pistol Flyye universal shoulder harness, and starting over with it.
I took the thing apart to it's component pieces, reversed it, re-cut to much better conform to the Sig P229 in a glove fit, adding various stiffeners to keep it from getting floppy and to allow it to slide right in without snagging, and and hand-sewed, sewed, sewed..
Attached to an aluminium backing plate, and secured to a Molle adapter, over-sprayed with Krylon OD, and Bob's your uncle for a compact-carry plate carrier mounted holster.
I'm very pleased with the admittedly labor-intensive results.
