Marui Recce DD Rail Removal Woes

Hello all,

I'm trying to replace the outer barrel and DD 10" Lite Rail that came stock with my Marui Recce EBB, in favor of a dytac stainless barrel and 12" rail system (ala true SEAL Recces).

In any event, I've removed the 6 retaining screws that suspend the free float DD rail from the delta rings and nada - I tug on the rail system and it doesn't budge.

I've gone as far as to remove the gas block and piston (both of which have no function but are just eye candy) in the hope that Marui may have hidden some retaining pin or something in there and it still won't move. I even tried to wedge a butter knife in between the DD rail and delta ring and even that won't pry it out.

I've looked down the inner rail and there doesn't seem to be anything else holding it in place, other than the remote possibility that the folks at TM soldered the rail on to prevent any and all wobble... but they wouldn't really do that, would they?

Has anyone here successfully removed the DD ralls from their Marui Recce and if so, hope did you do it?

Thanks for the help!

No, I've yet to remove that part, as I cannot access it without removing the rails.... I think?

My next thought is to open the receiver, remove the inner barrel so that I don't damage it during the outer barrel removal, and torque off the barrel nut, hoping that part NGM4-304 comes with it.

I've removed 303, however, the rail itself is "stuck" in place and won't budge, thereby denying access to 302 and 304.

Should I attempt to rotate the rails themselves counter clockwise to try and remove part 304 along with it. I've watched videos of real steel DD removal and it looks to come off as soon as the 6 hex screws are removed. Unfortunately, this has not been the case with the Recce.

I should specify that it's part 311 that won't come off the barrel assembly.

Here's my question, however, how am I goin to be able to to remove the barrel but when the rail system is 10" an the wrench is 11"? Are there longer urx installation tools available?

Hi, I've been looking for a way to remove the DD rail from the TM Recce and this thread always comes up.

Were you able to remove the rail and how?
