PC - First Spear Strandhogg And TMC's Knockoff
Hiya
Been looking at this apparently very comfortable and light and small PC for quite a few days now, and would like to have some ASC-wisdom-coating on that. Original Product: http://www.first-spear.com/product.p...cat=272&page=1 TMC's Replica: http://www.ebairsoft.com/strandhogg-...er-p-7305.html As you can see, price is quite prohibitive for the actual product, and we all know what's to know about knockoffs, but then it's less than a quarter of the price. I think the first question would be, anyone used or at least seen either products in real life? Comments? I'm looking at this particular PC for it's size and weight. I'm a small/thin guy and need something very snug, and reviews seems to relates to that quite a bit for these. I will be loading this up with 6-8 KWA LM4 Pmags and they're pretty heavy to start with. I know a lot will tell me "buy real you won't regret it" and "buy real buy once" and I'm sure it's true. I think what matters to me now is "how much cheaper the cheap product is". Is it 4 or 100 time cheaper? As in will it actually work or will it crumble into pieces after 2 games? I'm not super familiar with TMC but while not incredible, they seems to make decent products. Reviews on this particular PC are pretty scarce at the time What do you guys think? I don't have the budget for the RS one at the moment and would take considerable amount of time to gather that up for this but ... :/ |

I picked up a TMC PC towards the end of last season. It is not the exact one you want but close. The build quality is good. Ive had no issues in the three games ive worn it to. It fits really well ( im very skinny. Hard to find a vest that fits right.) I removed the hard plates for comfort and it runs like a dream. It will never replace my CP gear MoFOCR but it is a nice alternet.
TMC is not bad for repros. they will do the job. hope that helps.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I have not seen that particular PC, but I have seen quite a bit if TMC gear; I wasn't impressed. It's not bad for the price, but it is prone to ripping and tearing. It is made of authentic multicam though. If you're looking for fast, lightweight, comfortable, with a decent price, check out UR Tactical's Easy PC or the Condor Cyclone. Both rigs come in at around $140 - &150.

If your looking at getting a Strandhogg I'd get the First Spear I wouldn't trust TMCs "cuts" for the molle especially with GBBR mags

Here's a pretty comprehensive review from a local player's blog:

I know someone selling a real one, PM me and I can put you in touch. Otherwise OPtactical sells them for about $50 less than retail.
If you're small and thin it is definitely the PC for you, he's a medium sized guy, and it was a little small on him. The PC itself is very nice, lightest weight carrier I've come across excluding the super minimal carriers like the Plateframe. Tubes system is incredible for easy on/off as well. |

Ive got the TMC Skirmich Jumper Plate Carrier in MC. Light tight and so far a good little rig that does what I need it to.

Hey look... that's me! I'm actually editing in a few extra photos as I type this, now that I've pulled off all the pouches and had a chance to inspect it after loading it up at home a couple of times.
