Just be careful when buying the 1x to 4x magnification ones the 4x optic can be off angle in some of the clones !

Iif you want the Docter to look cool. Can't help you.
But if you want the Docter simply as a backup sight, you might enjoy something like this: I have one, without the shitty AIM sports logos, and the backup "fiber optic" works really really well for quick target acquisition.

I have decided to go with a very different, but still highly boner raising route of a Leapers 1-4x scope. Down the road I'll probably add a canted dot sight of some sort. For now I'll enjoy my RS variable zoom pew pew shenanigans, when it gets to my house that is.

I've seen Docter Sights (clones) without the sensor and with an on/off switch at the rear, however the switch appears to be on the mount half -- which would preclude using it on the ACOG/SpecterDR mount.
Dunno if anyone has one of these, is it only a switch and contacts on the mount side? Could something be jury rigged so the dot is "Always On" without the lower half (so it can be mounted on an ACOG adapter)?

Here's the Acog clone I have:
unsure of the brand and it has no trades but it's pretty good aside from the horrible eye-relief Acogs typically suffer from. If you're going with the Leapers or similar 1-4x short dot this is what I use: Burris Mtac with a PEPR mount and fast fire RDS. The eye relief is infinitely better than an Acog and it has an illuminated reticule and can go from 1-4X in .5 increments. |

Not a terrible optic otherwise, but a disappointment That one was from Airsoft Depot, I believe |

We carry Docter (real ones) and have lots in stock.
The red dot does stay on, however the batteries do last quite a long time. My Sig 226 has had the Docter on it for about a year and I have yet to change the battery. |
