Is this silicone oil or not?

I bought a 1 oz. bottle of 'Empire Paintball Marker Oil' because the guys behind the counter assured me it was airsoft grade silicone oil. It's not on the bottle and I can't find anywhere on the web that will confirm or deny it. I can't even find an MSDS for it. If it's not silicone I'll just use it on my RS guns and Ill pick up some silicone oil for my GBBP's later this week.

Yeah, when I read this thread title, I thought you were going to show us a bunch of random pictures of fluid in different containers, and see if we could guess wether it's silicone oil or not.

Nope! The last one was horse semen! ....etc

You sir just got ripped off. If you're not sure don't use it. It could do a LOT more damage than just running something a little dry.

I would get either Food-grade Silicone oil or the stuff from airsoft innovations. AMS Oil makes a good spray version. I picked some up from an airsoftparts store in Canada. I'm pretty sure I can't like it directly but if you want to know just PM me.

willing to perform services in a dark alley that may or may not leave you satisfied for a title. GFE = 1, looks = 2, BBFS for an extra $50.

I use RC shock oil labeled 100% silicone and haven't noticed any ill effects.

Amsoil spray silicone is no longer available in Canada. If you find some grab it while you can. It's great stuff.

Well paintball markers use silicone oil as well because of the rubber o rings. Same goes for GBBPs, because of the rubber seals, you need to use silicone oil to preserve them. If you can't find a source of silicone oil, you might want to check out a sex shop for some. Hear me out, because any silicone oil you buy in a sex shop will be safe on rubber and skin because of condoms. I'm not saying this should be the first place to look, but rather as a last resort.

Airsoft grade Silicone is silicone that can be used with Gbb airsoft guns and mixed with propane. Obviously! Also, it was a way of typing fewer words. Oh well, I didn't pay much for that oil and I thought someone might recognize the brand. It says 100% synthetic but synthetic what? I'll be in TO on Friday: I'll drop in on a real airsoft store and get the real deal. I just got a 226 and I'm taking no chances with it. Thanks for the input everyone.
