Fillable CO2 mags for GBBR?

Is there a such thing as magazines that can be filled with CO2 or propane for a WE M4? I assume the standard mags won't be able to handle the additional pressure of CO2. I am aware of the CO2 mags that use 12g cylinders, but it would be really nice to be able to use the same mags for summer and winter gaming.

On a related note, anyone know where can I buy those propane gas canisters that look like stun grenades?

No, because CO2 doesn't compress into a liquid like propane unless it's under TREMENDOUS pressure. Not possible in an airsoft gas mag.

Propane mags work because propane stays liquefied under some pressure, and provides a constant pressure for your gun by vaporizing into more gas when the pressure drops.
CO2 works by releasing the gas directly from the powerlet when the release valve is activated.

AI makes them and I've seen them for sale at airsoftparts.ca, actually, they had a package deal if you buy a Tornado grenade you got a gas cannister with it free. I don't know if the deal is still on, but you can check!
Sorry, I just re-read your post. The ones that look like grenades are the VFC made and airsoftparts has them too!

I expect that we will start seeing refillable CO2 mags for GBBRs at some point in the near future, especially since more and more companies are competing for a piece of the GBBR market and we are now starting to see products made from CNC steel.

yes there is, here is a pic of his co2 refillable mags for the we m4 awss.

its just a standard we co2 mag but instead of using a disposable co2 capsule he used a capsule with a filling hole on the side. but since the refillable capsule does not have a valve up top. he drilled a hole on the side so he can quickly refill it with co2 from his main tank.

So, the answer is still no. That' someone doing custom modifications to their mags, and it's still just using the regular WE CO2 mags.

1. That's not a prototype, it's a stock v2 Prowin mag

2. It's for the WA system not WE

3. The footage shown was a test to show how much pressure a PROWIN mag can stand up to, not intended as any sort of proof of concept for players to start loading CO2 directly into mags.

That's just their WA magazine, it's been out forever.
