KJW M4 V3 bolt disassembly
Hello guys!
I am trying to disassemble my KJW M4 version 3 bolt in order to install an NPAS to respect field FPS limits. My issue is that after removing the main bolt pin (part 118 in the imagur image), I can not figure out what to do next to remove the piston from the bolt. https://imgur.com/a/jPgLLPv The V2 bolt has another piece which you unscrew to free the piston from the bolt, but the V3 does not have it, and I cannot figure out how to pull the piston out. Is there some kind of clip that I'd have to push, or some way I'd have to turn the piston, etc, to free it from the bolt? Any help greatly appreciated!! |

It's a little dated, but I remember dealing with the same pin in my V1 when I installed the old Cradle velocity reducer.
If it's anything like my V1, it should tap out similar to install video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmHE3clqOqE&t=240s See about 50 seconds into the video. Cheers and good luck! |
