V2 Gearbox semi auto problem

So I recently took apart my friends M4, and when i tried to put it together it seems like everything was fine except for semi auto which behaves like its on safe. I cant get the trigger to budge and when i did get it to move it would make a loud click sound. I cant figure out whats causing this since everything was fine before it was disassembled.

It would seem that your re-assembly is the problem if it worked fine before you took it apart!

What gun it is? Why did you open it? What experience do you have working on the internals? It could be an issue with the trigger and switch not assembled correctly and it could be several other different things.

its a C-Tac M4 "tactical", ive worked on a couple gearboxes to do part swaps and what not and never had any problems. Well one thing I can say that i noticed odd was there was a dab of hot glue near where the trigger sits, it was like as if it was holding the trigger return spring or something. Could that have something to do with it?
