Battery Rundown
Hate to re-ignite old fires, but I don't believe this question was ever truly settled.
Nicad vs Nihm; One is said to have a rundown, where it slowly dies as it nears the end of it's life, and the other is said to die immediately at the end of it's life. From what I've read, there are people supporting both sides, and most websites decline to even mention 'rundown'. DOES it exist, and from experience- which battery suffers from it? |

From a more technical standpoint, Ni-MH batteries maintain a consistent voltage output throughout it's charged life cycle, unlike Ni-Cd batteries which start off with very high outputs when it's fresh off the charger and slows to a crawl near it's end.
It's the reason why some competitive R/C hobbyists have batteries on the charger all the time... when it's time for them to get on the track, they slap their hot-pack in that's fresh off the charger and the car will rip right out of the starting gates and through the course. |

I think Ni-MH is better, at least it carries a higher capacity and last longer time in use.

I've found
Ni-HM is great in large MAH 3000-2000 Ni-cd i found keep a constant charge, example. your aeg will fire with constant snap nosie till the barrtey dies. on Ni_hM ive found once the battery starts to get low, you notice that it takes longer to fire, like a hair less. |
