Lonex tappet mod - nozzle too far into hop up?

I'm working with a lonex drop in gear box with an shs nozzle - I remember reading something about a possible mod that needed to be done to the lonex brand tappet plate in order to get bbs to feed correctly - just can't find the original post!

It looks like my shs nozzle is protruding too far into my lonex hop up unit and the bbs just sit underneath it and won't feed (gearbox cycles fine etc.)

I was thinking switching back to the stock king arms nozzle would help but it looks like its only a fraction of a mm shorter than the shs brand nozzle.

I've also read about people swapping the lonex tappet plate completely out - I have an extra king arms brand laying around but I know there is sanding to be done

Any suggestions or guidance pictures?

Sand the nozzle down it's what I did.

I replaced the tapped plate with a G&G tappet plate, some shaving off the tappet plate required

If you sand down the nozzle it will not be long enough to create a tight seal on the bucking. What you need is a shorter tapped plate, I believe some of those Lonex ones are 1 or 2 mm too long.

Where's the location on the tappet plate that would need shaving?

The back part say, just below where the nozzle sits in the groove?

Funny on my drop in lonex it was the nozzle that was the issue. I am using a g&p nozzle with the lonex tappet and it works great. Weird.

Look at this picture, bottom is the original Lonex Tappet plate that came in my drop-in Box, top is a SHS Tappet Plate. All you have to do is replicate the highlighted part on your replacement tappet plate.

Got it. It's discussed in this post:

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...=modify+tappet

Looks like ill grab a modify tappet plate for 9$ and do up the sanding.

I've had it up to my ears with this lonex gearbox - but its just so damn clean and nice to look at!
