Barrel too clean

Hello the problem I had is now fixed but if some could explain why this happens.

Anyways I decided to clean my barrel completely. took off the bucking hopUp, cleaned everything in the barrel reassembled, but when I test fired it no bbs would feed, switched mags hicap to lowcap still wouldnt feed, There was a time were this was happening in a game (no barrel cleaning) asked some some to help me out and sprayed silcon oil in the hop up chamber it and it started to fire. I did the same and it worked and fed fine. But I've heard everywhere dont spray your bucking with silicon oil because it will swell and etc . the gun shoots fine now but does there need to be some silcon oil in the chamber/barrel ?

Nope, my barrels are clear and degreased; performance was dismal without regular cleaning. Silicon oil appears to be treating your symptoms, but not the actual cause.

You didn't reinstall your hopup rubber correctly! There should never be a need to use oil!

I never used oil to reinstall the hop up rubber ..

Never said you did. It's called a statement. There is never a need to use oil in the barrel or on the hopup.

Read it wrong sorry and note taken I've seen my fair share of videos saying if need you can spray silcon oil to put on a new hop up bucking

Oil added to the hopup bucking or the barrel can foul the bucking by swelling. There's no need for silicone oil inside your ammo path at all (inside or out). Oil can effect your hopup also, greasing the BB and preventing the hopup from working properly.

I use dry rifle patches and swab until clean. If there's debris in the inner barrel, I use a small dab of Teflon, silicone spray on the corner of the patch. Swab down, twisting as I go. I don't contact with the bucking and swab out, twisting as I go. Change the patch and swab and twist until the patch is clean, replacing as necessary.

This seems to work okay for me.

I clean my barrel out with windex
Never oil the hop rubber, it just does not dry out.
And its a system that works on friction, so if you oil it, you lose friction, and no more hop up for you
