hello AC community, new guy here

hello AC community, I am new to air soft but a 10 year paintball player(speed ball). over the past few years I have seen air soft really grow. I found the G and G markers quite impressive in terms of feel. I need help knowing where to start(gear, games, fields, tac. equipment, upgrades, age verification)I have No marker, no gear, except for my PB gear. all input and help will be appreciated, I am located in North York, Ontario
Thanks.

Gear
Mask (full face paintball mask will do fine)
Boots (with ankle support)
Gloves (Mechanix gloves are amazing, $20)
BB Speed loader (Required, larger is better, chinese ones are ok, Tokyo Marui loaders are the best)
Camouflage (woodland is best starting point for green, multicam is a good point for tan (green/tan are the two most common team seperators)
Gun bag

Games are found on ASC, click the forums button on the top to search for games in Ontario

TAC Equiptment
Walk before you run, magazines fit in pockets and guns can be carried, play a couple games without all the fluff and see what you want to add in the long term. Less is definitely more in this area.

Upgrades
Stock guns shoot fine. If you shoot indoors, have it shoot less than 350fps with 0.20g bbs, outdoors you should be shooting less than 400fps with 0.20g bbs.
Batteries are important. 7.4v / 11.1v lipo batteries are the best in the game. lipo chargers are $40.

Age Verification
Can't help you here, someone will chime in.

Find a field which has rentals or see if you can borrow one from a friend. Try to get a good feel for what you like as much as you can before purchasing.

Your paintball mask will do fine but on some guns paintball masks stop you from aiming down the sights. You can fix this with a riser or going goggles and mesh.
A vest + Pouchs
Smart Charger to tell you when your battery if fully charged. Stock chargers are terrible
Extra Battery
Mid Cap Magazines more fun reloading time to time then winding a Hi Cap Hi caps have a wheel at the bottom that winds a spring that feeds the gun, Hi Caps are less realistic, make tons of noise, are maracas cha cha cha
Speed Loader to load your Mid caps. Loading them 1 by 1 would take a while
A m90 spring to bring your fps to CQB standards 350 fps if you want to play indoors

For the guns, are there any guns you like in particular? If so we can help out with good/reliable brands. For example, if you like the AR-15 type guns - M4, M16 etc, a King Arms M4 or Classic Army Proline M4 would be a good place to start. G&P as well. These guns have nice metal exteriors and decent internals parts that will last long without wearing out. Eventually things will break, at which point you can replace them with upgraded parts for better reliability.

If you don't have any preferred guns, try renting some at a game or borrowing from a friend. It'll give you a good idea of the fit/feel in your hands.

The guns all come down to what feels good to you, and what you like. For myself, I like M4s, but only with RIS rails, so I can toss on a foregrip. For sidearms, I like my 1911s

Dear op

We cannot list guns for you because it is against the rules,

However, what we can help you out with would be equipment and also letting you know that getting age verified would open new doors for you in airsoft, literally,

Things you most definitely need will be

Boot with ankle support
Full seal eye protection
Gloves
And a good pair of kneepads

Things that are recommended
Molle tactical vest
A sling
A helmet
And camouflage

As far as guns go, it's in your best interest to get verified, it's a quick and simple process which involves meeting a "verified" showing him/her 1 piece of govt issued ID proving you are indeed 18+ and you will wait a processing time.

Once you are av-ed you have much more access to information and guns

Games, there is an entire sub forum I guess that is dedicated to games, all you have to do is post "in" on one of them and you are signed up. You might even get lucky and meet a verified in game too
