Spring compatibility
Hey, so I have a KJW beretta m9, and I would like to upgrade it (its going to be my primary). Will a m115/m120 spring fit and work in it? (Kjw beretta)

What is the upgrade you are looking for that is spring related? If you want stiffer springs for a harder "kick" and faster hammer you will be sacrificing gas efficiency, which may not be what you want for a primary weapon. Still, if that's what you want, try here. |

Am I seeing things or are you asking if you can put an AEG spring in a pistol?

I think you want to leave your m9 stock and save your pennies for a primary that could take an M120 spring. An AEG, for example...

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

The gun is a gas blowback it doesnt use the spring for power. That said you can upgrade the recoil and hammer spring for a bit of power and a tight bire barrel will give you a bit also a high flow valve.
Those springs are for aegs. This is going to be your primary for cqb right? Dont change too much or youll be too high on the fps maybe a recoil spring and a tightbore even then you may be too high as it should be close to 350 out of the box also its not gonna get much more accurate then it came out of the box no matter what you do to it. Pistols are for backup/sidearms outdoors youll need an aeg to compete with the rest of the folks outdoors. Beter get yer flame retardent suit on.

Here's the thing, I talked to a rep from buy airsoft and asked if a m120 spring would fit in a glock 23. And she said yes, but I like the m9 beretta style. So either I was misinformed and given the wrong answer or you guys are reason it wrong :P

And also I'm only going to be playing in a CQB environment and I clearly asked the question to the buy air soft rep. So I must have been given the wrong answer

Yeah you were given the wrong answer but don't worry about it, sales reps can be weird.
Springs with names that sound like "M120", "M110", "SP130" and so on are about the thickness and length of beef jerky (alright.. maybe a slight bit thicker and a bit shorter). They're much bigger than a pistol slide and are meant for AEGs (rifles). In those rifles they actually move the piston which fires the BB. Upgrading that spring helps increase the power of an AEG. Meanwhile, there are springs in Glock 23s and M9s, but they are much smaller and of varying sizes and play different roles. The springs that go in gas pistols like the KJW don't actually help fire the BB, they help in returning the slide, move the hammer, etc. The primary power source though, is expanding propane (green gas or the camping propane you see at Canadian Tire) or duster gas (hfc134a). You're very much good to go for power already in a KJW pistol and won't need to upgrade it.

lol @ buy air soft. Not sure if OP is a troll though. A simple Internet search would have shown that the m115 and m120 are AEG springs
