It might have changed but...2 years ago when I left an airforce base I still did not have the "new" tac vest. When people were leaving army bases to get posted into airforce bases they had to giv the tv back and pick up a webbing.

Than yes it's changed. Very few airforce personal are even issued any sort of gear, webbing or tac. and unless it's for simple training or a day at the range they won't be wearing webbing.

But if his goal is to replicate an airforce person in canada heading for a day shoot. He did a pretty good job

That's actually my C7A1 you're holding, C.S.T. (Thanksforthecredityaknow :P), and I would think that if you were doing any "Armed VIP Training" (Huh?), the fellas of your local airsoft group would be aware, of which we are not. I didn't even know that sorta thing was available in Kamloops...

Webbing in the cf is still pretty common, you can ask to have it issued last I checked.
