i find this to be a case by case scenario. i've polished my kjw 229 ob and it stayed polished and shiny for quite a long time. but you are right some of the dimples on the top side of the slide have begun to show some signs of oxidizing. i find as long you keep polishing it once in a while, you keep the look. just my two scents.

I wont necessary rust but it will oxidize if you let it get wet, or if you sand it and dont polish it.
If its steel it could rust but many guns have so little steel in them its a non issue. |
