Buying an aug

For starters I just registered and was looking into getting a aug riffle and let me start by saying thx to all of you I was looking on eastcoastairsoft and read some stuff here about borders and what not so thank you for saving my money. Unfortunately I haven't really been able to track down many stores in Canada if anyone could give me a hand it would be much appreciated I was looking at this "ASG Licensed Steyr AUG A1 Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ Military Style Scope" but was unable to find any in Canada if anyone could help me out that would be great!
Thx:-)

Unfortunately we can't help any non-AV'd users on where to get guns. However I can advise you to buy either an TM or CA AUG. Echo1 is the runner up.

How do I get age verified? Due to the fact I won't be able to get the help I need without it.

You'll have to get Age Verified (See this thread) as per forum rules before we can tell you where to buy the AUG you are looking for. Please check the FAQs section and locate your nearest AV representative. Set up a meeting and provide some ID. Once that's done, you'll have access to Retailers and Classifieds postings that can get you pretty much any gun you want.

As Styrak said, Tokyo Marui or Classic Army AUG A1s would be the best in quality/reliability. If you decide to get the ASG one, expect to have some work done to it (replace/upgrade certain parts) to get comparable performance.

All AEGs will break in some way eventually. There is no way to absolutely Murphey-proof an AEG.

Some people will read that and want to say "Well but I had/ made gun X and it never broke braghraghragh" or "Gun Y never breaks unless it's defective" or "Gun Z is great, had one for 6 years just don't mess with it".
Those experiences will lead them, and others (especially new guys) to think "Well maybe if I buy that gun, I'll have the same experience! I won't get a Lemon or mishandle it because I am Me!".

That is a bad way to look at airsoft guns. Every miracle story is either an exceptional or expensive case of circumstance.
A good, sober way to calculate an AEG purchase is to say to yourself

1. There is no perfect gun. There is no perfect gun. There is no perfect gun.
2. My gun will break. If I treat it well, it may not break next week. It may anyway. I must accept this as my reality and prepare.
3. I will not be able to fix it myself. I must be ready to send it to a Gun Tech, or spend the hundreds of hours of studying and practical application before I can trust myself to do it well. This is the ratio of what the work is worth vs. how much my own time is worth. Time almost always sides with the Gun Tech.
4. I can limit the possibility and severity of breakage by buying a higher quality AEG.
This AEG will still need the same upgrades as one of lesser pedigree in order to qualify as 'Supercool', however in materials and spirit, it will be stronger.
5. After all, and through all, and though 'worth' $X000, one day, it will break, no matter what brand, no matter who last worked on it.
6. I must do everything in my power to hide this cruel reality from my Wife.
If I have no Wife, I must respect myself by diligently paying off my credit card, and in the best case maintaining a cash float of no less than $100 for emergency parts and labour.

If you remember these tenets of AEG ownership, you will not be disappointed by an AEG's failures, and if you do manage to get your hands on one of those factory perfect Unicorn guns, well then that's all cake & gravy!

Well that's was relatively unhelpful and negative but good to know I can always count on it to break. But moving on to positive which aug would be my best bang for the buck? I've read the tm is really good.

Y'see that's the thing; it's only negative when you haven't experienced it yet.
Once you have a couple "Goddamn!"s under your belt you'll understand that it's merely reality and part of the process.
Your question has already been answered higher up in the thread, as there are few manufacturers who make AUGs.

I can tell you that AUGs are super sweet, they're uncommon which is a plus for the snowflake factor, and that if you remember my rules the inevitable break won't feel so bad.

I can also tell you that if you cheap out on an AUG, possibly more than any other gun (at least more than most), when it breaks it will break spectacularly.

Don't get to down on what my words sound like, I'm saving you the time and the money it takes to learn this stuff the hard way.
