When I bought my first gun (used) it worked fine nothing wrong with it. I just wanted to open it up check it out see what was stock what was upgraded and grease level. opening up the mechbox I didn't hold the stock plastic spring guide tight enough and broke 1 of the 2 tabs off. Then on reassembly I didn't use lock tight on the motor height screw and the next game it backed off. It made that wonderful noise we all know of gears grinding. I guess I got lucky because it didn't damage the CA sport line gears reassembled it with lock-tight this time. It was a little noisy until the gears meshed up again but it sounds fine now.
On the bright side I ended up getting a new metal spring guide with barrings that is way better that the stock plastic one. Also I shimmed the gears as they where a little loose but not bad. |

Ouch, man...
Did you over-voltage (That's a word now!) the motor, or damage it somehow before?
