I run one of these over my EOTech:
EOTech Holosight Lense Cover Cheap and effective. I use kill flashes (kind of like mesh) with my Aimpoints. I also carry these flip up protectors for the odd ball optics that don't tend to fit anything other than custom cut lexan. Folding Lense Protector

Venture airsoft in the retailers section sells a clear eo tech front cover made by element for $8.00+tax. I got one for my 552 clone and it does the trick.

I make mine from Polycarb. For my real EoTech's,has never failed yet! And made one for my Eotech 3x flip to slide. Like TC said it's just the time of making them. I use to use Lexan till it failed and cracked, guns are shooting hotter these days. I wouldn't use anything less than Polycarb. I get small sheets cheep from a place that does security glass for the Police.

I have polycarb protectors for all my EOTech, particularly my real steel one. They're cheap and work great.
For my Elcan sights, I don't think there's a gun on the field that can shoot at a high enough velocity to damage that thick-ass convex objective lens.

Thanks for the input... where do you guys buy poly carbonate from? Can you buy that from the DIY big box stores?

damn.... if your lexan is cracking I think you've got other things to worry about rather than having a cracked scope.
