rpg7 rocket and AT4 parts
hey, im a huge fan of all the different launchers. You name it and im probably a fan. ive seen alot of homemade launchers and stuff that like that. It got me to thinking about it. Now ive got an m72 deepfire, a Gamma at4(wish it was the new deepfire one) and ive got a smokeys rpg7 shell. now i was thinking about how it sucks that all these launchers are so expensive and once you get them they arent really that useful all the time but are awesome for wall hangers. anyways to my point.....i was thinking it would be awesome if i could use my collection to help people out to get launchers at a cheap price. Would anyone be intested it i was to make plastic molds of the rpg7 shell i have??? and the end peices of the at4(the octagonal protective front and the blast venturi)??? and also i was thinking of making a dimensions drawing of the m72 for anyone wanting to do a build. the company i would buy the molding stuff from is a company called smooth-on. Also i am considering making molding of grenades and claymores in the case that someone might want them from prob purposes. doing this for cheap would help people to make there own launchers....a real size/shape rpg7 shell would make any home made rpg look awesome and with the at4 end caps you could use pvc pipe or what ever and add them on the ends....anways sorry for the novel. leave some feedback. Thanks -Jordan

I really like this idea, been a fan of these as well. i would look into getting a kit for the RPG. but the AT-4 sounds good also.

I would look into the legality of manufacturing replica ordinance in Canada, there are a lot of "gotcha" laws which screw with these sort of endeavors (for instance, it is illegal to manufacture a (airsoft/firearm) receiver without the proper licenses.)

Ive seen so many homemade rpg7s and they look like crap because the rocket is ussually pop bottles glue together or something stupid. i would be willing to sell these parts cheap enough so anyone could buy them and yet enough to pay my costs. i was thinking i could take the measurements of my smokeys rpg7 and making diagrams for the whole launcher too....like take off the handle and trace around it and such...and if i put it on here for free for people then it would be a big help for builds done at home.

hmmmmm......i guess i will have to look into the legality of it....i never thought about it like that.....i guess even if you make something harmless it doesnt mean its not illegal.

The serialized receiver of a firearm (the lower of an AR/AK, the upper in some bullpup firearms; the part which houses the fire control system and is serialized/recorded when registering a firearm with the government) is the controlled part in Canada. Therefore, building one, even a airsoft one, is subject to similar manufacturing laws. In theory if you can build a replica one, you could build a real one, and they don't want real ones floating around not being registered. Again, this is just my opinion, so I would wait for someone elses take on this. |

No i see exactly what your saying, and yes it does make sense...its better to air on the side of caution when doing these things even if what you are doing is harmless. Thanks for your opinion.....thats why its nice to post and get other peoples input incase they think of something that you havent.
