Okay I'm not sure how to make this more clear. ECHO1 SCARs and "VFC SCARs" as sold by Jag are being recalled per the letter Jag sent to its dealers
Now then VFC SCARs sold by anyone else except for Jag I know nothing about. But it does seem crasy that duly licenced SCARS made by VFC would be recalled from Jag dealers.

as far as i know Cybergun itself is just the stupid licensing company, they pretty much went out there to get all the rights of trademark licensing from all the big gun companies, all these guns are still OEM by VFC/ KA whatever, Echo 1 is just a rebrand of those guns.
Not too sure but Echo1 is exempted by those laws because they don't have actual markings on their guns? not too sure but from what I've known echo1 has "Echo1" markings on their guns.

Okay fellows I'm trying to make a point here that none seems to understand.
Point one: Yes ECHO1 had some SCAR look alikes that were made by Dboys (this is not the point of this discussion) Point two: Jag had some SCARS that they claimed were "OEM" by VFC (this is the point of the discussion) these were also recalled! As I remember back to before they removed all these from their url I recalled that this second group was not listed under the VFC section of their URL. I can't remember which section it was under. In total they had four different offerers of SCARS (2 from DBOYS and 2 listed as VFC but I can't remember who was listed as the supplier) Perhaps what the problem here is that any VFC imported into the US that doesn't come thru WWW. SPARTAN IMPORTS.COM is the problem. As the post above is worded it is Spartan that holds the licensen and not VFC.

Basically Spartan Imports is owned by Cybergun which in turn holds the FN license. Through the recent turn of events, Cybergun exercised their legal rights to exclusively distribute licensed guns through Spartan and forced JAG to pull these guns out of their distribution line-up (in this case MK16/17 amongst others). Ultimately it doesn't matter for VFC as they can pull their "exclusive authorized distributor" rights from JAG and give it to whomever is legally allowed to import. |

I'm not personally aware of any proprietary parts from ECHO1 on this gun, please correct me if I'm wrong. It's a version 2 gearbox that is AFAIK TM compatible. So no you shouldn't have any trouble finding parts for it. |
