M4 Mag Release Spring

Hey guys!

I was just plinking with my M4 when the mag release came loose. When I tried to push it back in, it popped out- the spring inside is busted, so the mag release and bolt catch fell out.

I was told by Huang of AirsoftDepot that I could just pick up a spring from Home Depot- so:

1) Is that the case? What sort of spring would I buy?

2) How would I go about installing it?

Thanks for all the help guys!

I was in a car parts/tools place out here the other day and they had a wall of springs in all various sizes all bagged and ready to go including mag sized ones for pennies each.

I don't think you have them out East but you'll have something similar. For anyone out here the spot to head to is Lordco.

Those springs have a specific diameter/length and wire size.

It would be cheaper to get a new mag catch that includes a new spring.
