What AEG does this sound like?
Hello, I recently bought my first AEG and I am loving it. I showed my dad my new AEG and being ex-mil he loved it and now wants one of his own. I've showed him many models but can't seem to find one that calls out to him. I was hoping with a few requirements more experienced people could point me in the right direction.
The barrel needs to be really long, every AEG I've shown him doesn't have a long enough barrel. mine is 363, this is considered short, I showed him the G&G M16 RIS MAX and that came really close however bring us to requirement number two He wants a folding stock, crane adjustable is probably alright but solid stock won't do. (I am new so I don't know if the RIS is able to change out stock). He is also looking for a powerful gun as he isn't interested in skrim just private target shooting, so the higher fps the better. One last thing, as I was showing him a few sites and we came across the following AEG. It was only to display that they have paint service so does anyone know what make and model this is? It caught his eye. Thank you for any help, finding a suitable gun for yourself is pretty hard but for another person ughhh! Last edited by Krooger; October 10th, 2011 at 03:40.. |

There aren't any companies that make an m4 specifically like this. You have to build this yourself.
You can build an m4 that is very similar to the one you've posted with the following base gun and parts: - TM, G&P, ,CA, King arms brand m4 AEG (these are my recommended if you want something with realistic markings G&P is the way to go) - Madbull m4 top rail gas block - 7 inch rail system - maybe a 14.5 inch barrel with a barrel extension, because if you went with a 16inch one the front sight/gas block mounting holes would be too far forward for a 7 inch rail system - Crane stock - maid grip - Pmags **Actually Madbull has a 16inch out barrel that fits a 7 inch barrel (Mad Bull Daniel Defense 16" M4 Profile Outer Barrel) Last edited by spartan117; October 10th, 2011 at 04:23.. |

Check ehobbyasia.com for ideas, they have a lot of custom builds on there, as well as anything you could slap on a gun.
Your local gun doc could build a gun for you. M4's are easier to build from scratch than any other AEG. |

Yea my dad... Why would I lie about that. I'm not asking where to get anything.
Many thanks to the helpful replies. I figured it must have been highly customized. That site is great for custom ideas Are solid stocks able to be replaced? For example the g&g m16 ris max stock, and swaped in for crane or folding? Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515a using Tapatalk |

Stocks of all kinds for AR15s are all replaceable.

Except the UBR stock.... That one you have to replace the entire buffer tube with the one that comes in the package. But for the most part AR15 stocks will fit on the stock AR15 buffer tube. I'm not sure how it's mounted but if possible see if the KAC PDW rear folding stock will fit on a standard AR15. I know that one is a folding stock but not sure how the mounting works (plus I'm pretty sure the upper is differently shaped).
A standard M16 has like a 20 inch barrel so.... what exactly does he want to do? Anything is possible with the right amount of money. As for the velocity.... Just toss in like an M170 or something, high torque gears and a high torque motor. That should do the trick. If you need more power go with a double o-ring cylinder head, non ported cylinder (if you're going to go with a long inner barrel), and might as well change the hop up unit and bucking to a prommy neo chamber and prommy red bucking (or a Firefly V-Shape hard bucking for AEG (not the VSR version)).

Well big is what used to be called a battle rifle. M14, FN FAL, G3 from back when and the SR-25 variants from the current inventory.
All can be fitted with a folding/telescoping stock. All are unweildy or large as you've requested. The most likely airsoft flavor would be a M14 fitted with an EBR chassis system stock. If you want something more like your photo like a M16/M4 then the smart route to go is with a Systema PTW. It's endlessly customizeable and can run at high power reliably, and when properly setup it's said to be the most accurate AEG going. Anyone who has experience with firearms and who is now buying an AEG for private target shooting will find the accuracy and range disapointing so the PTW may be the best compromise.
