Yeah AEPs can hold their own, from what I've seen. Unfortunately EBBs kinda made a bad first impression for "small electrics", so everyone is weary of AEPs 'til they see one in action/use one.

It's not a GBB, but AEPs aren't POS either. Personally I think they should move away from pistols, just so blowback ceases being a major factor; a AEP Skorpion, Specter or Sterling L2A3, for example would probably do more to get people excited, and IMO would be a good niche for them.

Like Fox, after seeing Mud's AEP Glock, I'm planning to get one for the cold season and maybe even use one for my regular sidearm. That Glock has a very decent range and is very consistant in it's shots. Too bad it's on the slow side (210-20 fps) as one can dodge the bbs if you see them coming at you.
