Airsoft guns over the boarder to Canada?
I am purchasing a UHC mini MP5 Airsoft gun, just for fun, not really the sport, or possibly as a back up weapon. I was wondering if I purchase the gun online and get it shipped to a relatives house in the states, what issues will arise when bringing it over the boarder back to Canada? (Detroit-Windsor)
I have read up and according to Bill C-15 you cant shoot over 500fps or is the replica of a gun, the mini mp5 is smaller size then actual gun and doesn’t shoot over 200 fps, also has yellow tip on the end. UHC Mini MP5 So if anyone knows what issues will come up at the boarder, (if any) it will help a lot, Thanks. |

First off, mini's are shit. Second, don't. Just buy in canada from a canadian retailer at the top of this site.

Durability notwithstanding, I think customs would have a hard time passing a mini off as a replica. The law stipulates that replicas must accurately portray the real weapon in size, which this obviously doesn't. I won't say that you will not get hassled, but this is certainly safer than a full-sized AEG.
