Upgrading the TM L96AWS

Hi,

I m considering the TM L96 AWS and was wandering what would I need to do to crank it up to 450 fps with 0.2?

I m hoping to keep as much TM part as possible (assuming they are top of the line and will support 450 fps...)

Thanks for your advice

That's not really the way to go about upgrading a TM bolt action, because of Japanese law, these things are normally built to fail after you exceed 400 FPS.

However, PDI has a complete line of upgrades for the L96

I'd suggest the Palsonite VC cylinder set...

Oh.. it appears they don't have upgraded sears yet... Hrrrm... I'd keep it under 400 for now lol

Doesn't it use VSR internals? If so then one could theoretically use sears designed for the VSR, along with most if not all other internal upgrades for a VSR.

no, they make TM L96 specific upgrades. You may be thinking of the Ares WA 2000, which is supposed to use TM VSR-10 internals.

Bah, Using any parts but PDI or some of the other smaller precision manufactured parts would be a huge waste.

If you're going to spend the money, you may aswell spend a little bit more to make it out-class most other rifles on the field

theres a million dollar question, i see all these post of tm aws and other rare guns for canada and i always wonder where people get them from. i got a tm vsr-10 of redwolf after an expensive shiping cost and seperating the gun into parts. even that was extremly lucky to have got accross the border
