selling airsoft legally?
Hello,
Is selling airsoft guns legal? I don’t know the actual law around this action. Seeing as it is an item which is age restricted and the import of these items requires a special license, does any legislation make my personal sale of said item a legal offence? Thanks Not looking to be spoon fed just pointed in the right direction. People who can post links to actual government sites is what I'm really looking for.

It's in the FAQ section but technically no transfer isn't legal. BUT it's not really enforced since there's really no way to do it.

@battlerager the transfer of ownership of replicas in not legal, however not all airsoft guns fall into the replica catagory. If certain conditions are met they are no longer considered replicas and you buy and sell til your hearts content.

Right forgot about the other thing. Eeyore is right.
I can't elaborate any more in the non AV section but if you look at the AV section once those conditions are met they're no longer replicas and instead fall under a different category.

...if it bothers you this much... don't sell or buy them - problem solved (no troll... making a point)... type your exact post in bing or similar search engine and seek for yourself.

Thanks for adding no information. We tried that and all we got out of it is that in fact once you have your gun you can never sell it or pass it off to someone else. That didn't sound right to us so I figure someone on ASC must have looked this up before. Didn't see it in the FAQ, I'm more then ok with the current system.
And bing dude? google.

This is why i use BING... information included "Airsoft guns that closely resemble real firearms are classified as replica firearms and can only be imported by companies possessing a Business Firearms License. It is unlawful to sell or transfer replica firearms without this license."
Now use a better search engine and go play... cheers dude? |

Thankfully not all Airsoft guns are Replicas...
To the OP, follow Eeyores advice and have yourself a joyful selling/buying experience, hopefully.
