Agreed.
9.6v makes trigger arcing noticeable MUCH sooner, and large 9.6v batteries melt trigger blocks (more amperage = more heat, more voltage=more arcing). But I've seen even a 7.2v marui MP7 have problems due to dirty contacts from arcing. But with the MOSFET, you pretty well eliminate arcing, and it also severely cuts down the amount of heat going into your trigger block. I've seen 3 of them melt on 9.6v NiMH C bell batts, imagine what an 11.1v LiPo would do... |

hey guys, I seem to be burning through trigger assemblies in my guns too quickly. I run 11.1v 1500mah buffer tube lipos exclusively.
I'm pretty mosfet-stupid, can someone spoonfeed me some options? (what mosfets are good? where is the best place to buy them?) I've seen the new ASCU ones, but $100 seems like overkill to me. I just want to prolong the life of my trigger contacts, I don't need any fancy burst-fire modes and the trigger response is fine the way it is. http://unconventional-airsoft.com/we...roducts_id=198 seems like a good option but it looks like everything is out of stock in Don's store.

I just ordered burst wizard mosfet. We'll see how it goes. Seems super simple to set up, in line with the battery, no soldering required (I will anyways cuz I run EC3s), and simple set up and programing.
aegwizard.com as where to buy Lipos, go hobbyking.com. I have been buying all my packs from them since 2006.

You don't need an SW-COMP, a simple mosfet would be fine, such as the one you posted
However it will raise your ROF noticeably. And the burst wizard IS NOT a mosfet, it still dumps 100% power through your trigger contacts. |

version 2 claims trigger arching reducer through hardware and software.
read in another site, that version 2 is nothing but a simple MOSFET switch with a potentiometer.

Come on guys, Thunder has told you already. Get A mosfett that you wire in to the trigger contacts and reduces the power going through them. Simple. And for christs sake, start listening when someone who joined in 07 talks to you.
PS DonP is my saviour! 11.1v!
