Tokyo Marui Glock 17/18C
Hey guys, I got a TM Glock 18C, and I noticed a weird issue that happened with my gun a few days ago. For some reason when I rack the slide back, it doesn’t return forward until I give it a small nudge.. when I push the slide forward, I can feel some resistance, like metal to metal contact. I know that its not the slide catch because it is not engaging and there is no magazine in the magwell. I didn’t touch the hammer assembly at all, I just took it out, and put it back in the rear of the gun.
When I removed the slide to inspect the issue, I can see that the left rail (circled in red below) of the bbu has a lot more wear than the right side. Im guessing it’s the little silver thing (also circled in red below) of the hammer assembly that is grinding against the rail. Im not sure if it is normal or not, but this silver thing seems to be sticking up a bit. Does my hammer assembly look right? I’m not too familiar with glocks so I don’t know what looks normal or not.. Here are some pictures: BBU rail heavily worn: This is when the hammer is cocked: This is when the hammer is uncocked: Here is a video that I made to show the problem. If anyone has any experience with this problem or have any ideas or how I can fix this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks Last edited by turok_t; March 9th, 2011 at 09:50.. |

have you been lubing it sufficiently? I get the same thing sometimes with mine when I don't add oil frequently enough when filling mags. a few drops on the trouble spots seems to rectify it. on my g18c, it will almost return to battery but stop short about 1/2" not stick as far back as yours.
maybe replace the recoil spring? edit: try using a heavier lube on the metal to metal parts that show wear. Last edited by coach; March 9th, 2011 at 10:02.. |
