SRC HK416 Battery / Spring noob question

Hello guys, i just got my 416 and this gun is a beast!

I have two questions for you.

The gun didn't came with a battery / battery charger

- I need to know what would be the best battery for me ?

- Also, on youtube, there is a video with a guy changing the spring to get a lower FPS for this same gun. However, the guy didn't put any infos about that spring.

I would like to order it so when i play inside with events where u need to be lower then 350 fps.

Here is the video about the spring change and the new FPS reached when changing it.
YouTube - SR-416 gen.III [SRC]

Thanks guys

8.4v 1400mah batteries will do the trick, at least in my opinion. And i assume it is a spring that comes with the gun itself, as shown in the video. But I believe that is a M100 spring he installs

SRC gen3 guns are better with 9.6v 2000mah batteries, or if you can afford it, get a Lipo (a little bit more expensive, but much lighter, compact...)

PS: Dont use the PEQ that came with the hk416.... its big and bulky,

Thanks Guy, when i spoke to the guy from airsoft depot, he recommended the M110 Spring. Please confirm if you think he's right or not. I also tought the spring would be in the box, but for some reason, it doesn't come with it... ? ( i'm a bit confused but it was confirmed by the guy who sold it to me... )

For the PEQ, i totally agree with Gunny_McSmith it's really bulky and would take important space on my picatiny rails.( IMPORTANT : THE PEQ DIDN'T CAME WITH MY SRC HK416 ) in fact, not much come with this gun in the box!!!!!!!!!!

If i go with the 9.6V 2000 MAH batteries , which charger should i get.

Also, my gun is back wired, and i don't have that much room... do you think whatever i chose will fit ?

Thanks guys

Sorry for are the noob stuff!

To clarify, the gun is the : SRC HK416 Gen III Pro AEG :duke:

its back wired? get a crane stock & a crane stock battery (G&P sells a kit for around 90$ on ehobbyasia) :P

As for the charger, look on ebay for "universal chargers" they are blue, and around 35$ shipped from the US.... (or look on airsoftparts.ca, they should carry some too)

PS: dont need to change the spring if you guns is already shooting around 400fps... if it's over that then yes get a m110, and make sure you know what you are doing before opening the gun and mechbox.... SRC hk416 are a pain in the a$$ to disassemble....lol

I've owned one for several years, and it was my first airsoft gun... So I know how they work...lol

Thanks Gunny,

Yeah, the battery goes in the crane stock.

At400 FPS i'm ok for outside games. i need to lower it for inside games.

The Crane stock is not that big... should i go for nunchecko style batteries ?

Ok Yeah i get it. I'll go order 2 sets. Picked up my gun today. It spended all pm in the trunk of my car without having a chance to play with it untill my work day was done. Oh boy this gun is crazy. I first installed the rap4 grip, Then my walter tactical flashlight. I have a very nice tactedge red/green dot, but if i want to keep it there, i'll have to remove the rear sight because it's in the way.

I have couples of complaints tondo about it and i'll share them with you if i can find the time to make a review aout it.

Oh! And i'll need a kick ass sling because that thing is eavy.
