VFC Scar: Replacing the hinge plate (Repaired)

I just recently bought a VFC scar, but it came with a large crack in the side of the hinge on the stock. I ordered a replacement hinge, but I am at a loss on how to actually replace the part. I've taken it down and looked at it, but I can't make heads or tales of it. I've searched for guides both using google and searching these forums, and have come up with nothing that helps.

Does anyone know how to replace the hinge on a VFC Scar stock?

This is the part I am referring to:

Any help would be much appreciated.

All you need to do is push out the big roll pin. Be gentle and find the right sized drift to do it.

Where do you order your VFC parts from? I've been dealing with WGC, but if I could find a quicker source of parts, that would be great.

I ordered it from Evike, iirc.

Also, I managed to take out the roll pins, but now I'm having trouble putting in the replacement hinge... The fitting is uber tighwt with the electric rings. >_<

Any tips or advice?

Put the male end in the freezer for a couple hours. Put the female end in warm water right before you hook them up.

Alright, repairs have been completed and successful. Thanks for the advice Danke, it really helped. And thanks baker_Jeff, I'll keep that in mind. Who knows, I may have to replace the hinge again in the future. :P

If you want to avoid it, remove the "push button" for the stock, and cut the spring down by 3-4 rings. It is too tight, and puts too much tension on the hinge plate when locking the stock into place.
