And Prom springs are very good, you shouldn't be badmouthing them because of your (obviously) incorrect conclusions. |

I would agree with Styrak. A Modify M110 should be ~400fps and M120 is ~440fps. So you are still having problems with your setup.

I prefer Prometheus springs over Modify springs. I have better results with Prometheus (consistent) than the modify springs I've had.

Ive been advised by one of the known/highly recognized member on ASC members to disregard Styrak's comments, so I will continue to ignore him and his unconstructive comments. Happy halloween everyone! Thanks again for those who have helped me and contributed (positively/constructively) to this thread!

A Total Bastard
|
You know... Ive been using a Prometheus MS120 for a couple years now, and I always noticed my gun chronied well under what it should... Now I figured there was a small airleak between the meshing of the hopup unit and mechbox, and I have a silent kit in there, which drops the total FPS a bit. AND the gun always shot amazing so I never really cared you know?
But seeing this, makes me think its just the Promy spring in there dropping it... Something to ponder when I get a chrony, I can try some spring swaps and confirm... Interesting

Styrak's post isn't being de-constructive or anything like that here.
Modify springs shoot quite a bit harder than what their rated for. Also.. Stop chasing the perfect FPS lol. You wont notice the difference between 380 and 400 FPS., get out to a game with the gun, shoot it, and if it's nice... Good enough. |

Finally found my airleak after hours of researching and testing. Here are my final results:
0.25g / 0.20g BBbastards with Modify MS120 spring: 395 /443 399 / 443 395 /430 394 / 436 391 / 431 389 / 430 388 / 432 397 / 437 389 / 436 My next thing is to get a new cylinder head with double O-rings and that should be it. |

I'm just curious, what was the cause of the air leak?

air was leaking from the hop up rubber.. so i used teflon tape to seal it and my FPS went straight up. however, this only worked for my longer barrel KM 6.0mm 469mm inner barrel. For my prometheus 6.03mm 363mm barrel, FPS remained the same (described several posts above) even with the teflon tape mod. I guess having a longer barrel really increases your fps alot, well at least, in my case it did.

would you mind elaborating on how the rubber was leaking? And the teflon tape mod? just for future reference for me
