Two problems with my Real Sword 97B : a lot of misfires and stops shooting in full auto
Hello,
I own a RS 97B as my main weapon since february 2010. Been using it pretty much every game. Never had a single problem with it. Last time I used it for a whole day I didn't experience any troubles. I took it out for a game 3 weeks later and did a spring swap for outdoor gaming (mechbox is made for a quick easy spring swap so I didn't open it) and have been experiencing these two problems : 1. Gun misfires a lot. 1 BB comes out for maybe 8-10 shots. Sometimes I get 3-4 BBs in a row and nothing for 10-20 shots. I tested with 7 different mags from 2 different owners to make sure it wasn't the mags. 2. When I am in full auto the gun stops all of a sudden after 20-30 shots. If I release the trigger and pull it again it works again until it stops all over again. I don't know if these 2 problems are related. I redid the spring swap at home, cleaned all the gun, oiled the hopup a bit, tested with hopup on/off and it still does it. Any ideas?

Replace your hopup rubber. I've had this happen before, the end is probably chewed up and it's most likely not fully sealing with the nozzle and this can cause the jams or what seems like misfeeds.

For that...perhaps you have a short somewhere, or something to do with the wiring?

My old 97B had a pretty bad trigger contact issue, running an 8.4V 4500 Large battery caused the trigger contacts to melt...
MOSFET IS A MUST! |

I only used the stock battery with it (9.6V 1200 mah). I did some long bursts in full auto a few times tho.
