As long as your current M16 has the appropriate matching type of front end threading for the body you purchase then that would be one of the more inexpensive ways to create your C8. Im assuming you found a guarder brand C8 metal body?

For 80 quid thats not a bad deal at all.

However depending on how accurate you want your impression to be then it maybe cheaper to simply purchase a prebuilt model.
I will leave all the exact number crunching to you.

Before anyone else chimes in with your "read the faqs" or "get AV'd" spams. I would just like to note to everyone that this user is not located in Canada.

Thanks I still need to get the m16. I recently sold all my guns to put money towards a car. I'll ask my local gunsmith at the site i play at to see if he can put it on for me

Would it be better to get a Tm one? or a cheaper chinese clone. Thanks

If your asking personal preference then I would have to say TM and build from there.
You may wish to poke around on some of the UKARA forums to see what some of the local folks around there did for their C8 builds.

yeah. Only probelm it will be two tone at first ¬_¬ but before anyone rants about me changing it to a RIF the site i play at lets us paint them or change parts if we have a YG membership card. which by the time i can afford this i will have.

I was thinking of a Tm because i would like a long lasting gun. Not saying clones are bad but thanks for your help

If you want to stay close to real, you will need an M4.

The C8 is the Canadian version of the M4 carbine, while the C7 is the rifle version. I am not sure about the C8, but we are using C7A2 revision.

Actually depending on the version the C8 is not exactly an M4.
Receiver tops and barrel profiles/lengths would be the differences.

No, don't get that gun.

The fake blowback fucks everytime.

If you want to do it right, buy a Systema complete mechbox or an upgraded mechbox shell and have it built from scratch.

It will cost you a lot less than buying a complete gun, even a cheap one and you will get a better overall rifle.

From the receiver, you will want to get a complete M4 front set and LE stock. Theses are not expensive.

Then, Prometheus Neo hop-up unit, a tightbore, rubber and the mechbox.

Finally, a pistol grip and motor.

You have a complete gun.
