SD Barrel/Slide not locking back?
A month ago I picked up a Shooters Design slide (while using the stock TM plastic barrel) for my Hi Capa 5.1 and while the gun functioned just fine, I found that sometimes when I rack the slide back it got stuck. I figure picking up a new barrel would help so I bought a SD chamber and barrel and today after putting things together, I noticed that the gun no longer cycles far enough to lock the slide back when the gun is empty.
There's no issue with teh gun (even replaced the nozzle to test), the blowback is still crisp and the gun still chronies in the same range. Any ideas at what the problem is or what I have to do to get the slide to lock back? Thanks. Last edited by Colin_S; August 9th, 2010 at 21:02.. |

I had the same problem Colin, I figured out it was the cut off lever catching against the slide, so I sanded it down a bit to make a ramp so it no longer catches. I was told by Tys and other Hicapa regulars that this was the fix.
If you dont know what I mean, its the tiny lever on the top of the trigger block that the slide pushes down when it cycles.
