Silencer Foam problem
I got my vfc sr16 recently and a silencer filled with foam. I was testing the other day and all of a sudden I see couple black ish stuff on the floor. Then I realized it's the foam inside of the silencer I bought. So here's the question, is it normal that the foam will be shot out of the silencer? Is there any silencer w/o foam for M4? What is the foam for? Thanks.

Re: Silencer Foam problem
No. That is not normal. Sounds like your inner barrel is not straight or your silencer us not threaded on correctly.
You could remove the foam if you want. It's there to slightly change the report down range of each shot. Doesn't muffle the sound of your motor and gear box nor the piston slamming onto the cylinder head. There are silencers that do not contain foam. Check airsoftparts. |

Some silencers also have foam built into them. Atleast mine does
