clarification on pb approved goggles
i know for pb fields most if not all require pb approved goggles, but im wondering does this mean you just need pb approved goggles...it doesnt have to be a full mask/pb approved face protector???
cuz i know most pb approved masks are one piece and dont come apart, but i do see that some ppl recomend certain brands of JT that the whole mask can come apart and you just have the goggles, so as long as they are a pb approved set of goggles like off the jt mask...are you allowed to wear JUST the goggles at a field that says pb approved only....or must you wear the full un altered pb approved mask?? or would it depend by field and their policy?? |

Ask your local field.

If you're refering to Flag Raiders you can wear any PB rated goggles. this mean that you can modify the mask (cut it so you can sight your gun) you can wear just the goggles whatever as long as they are PB rated you're good.
Edit: I wear a modified mask myself and I've seen many others doing the same |

Check with your local game organizers, they would know each field's policy on this where they host.
Here (Quebec) its pretty lax, but I see some people elsewhere (Ontario) wearing full face, so the rules may be more anal there.

the term you would most likely hear required is 'full seal' paintball goggles. the goggles must have a proper seal on your face. since FR is a paintball field, many games are shared with paintballers and a stray paintball could hit you. even without sharing the field, it's added protection for you that the owner requires. The JT series of goggles are what a majority of people use. I believe some of the Protos also separate from the mask portion. |

Your in KW, call FR's store, tell them you play airsoft and want to buy goggles from them that can detach the goggles from the mask portion. Then buy them...viola, you now have goggles/mask that you can use at your local field without question on whether you can or not, and by reattaching the mask portion use them at other PB fields that require more protection...
