WE Scar Piece Problem
Hey all,
I was playing around with my new WE scar today, and this little piece seems to have fallen out of the receiver. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I looked at the manual and browsed around the forums, but I can't seem to find out what this part is. But ever since it has fallen out, my scar doesn't seem to fire any more, which has me worried to say the least. It seems like the hammer in the trigger assembly works just fine, but it isn't causing the gas in the magazine to be released. Does anyone have an idea of what the piece might be, what it does, and if it might relate to my firing issue? Any help would be appreciated. |

Yeah I know what that is well. I think it is part 09 firing pin on the we scar. I had the same problem and replace it with a better version. The part that fallen from the receiver is the first picture with the white circle on it.
Here is the link http://www.ratech.com.tw/store/produ...id_product=298 (part 11) HIGHLY recommend to replace both part 09 and part 10. Part 11 is a combo thing. Part 09: http://www.ratech.com.tw/store/produ...id_product=296 Part 10: http://www.ratech.com.tw/store/produ...id_product=297 |

Thanks for the responses. But I must ask, which diagram are you referencing? The parts (09 & 10) for the exploded diagram in the manual don't look like the same parts being mentioned here.

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

at the front of the trigger box there is the group of parts that the guys have mentioned, and there is a pin that the hammer hits that sticks out of one of those parts, that looks alot like that pin that fell out
cock the hammer back and see if theres a pin sticking out of the face adjacent to the hammer, if not, there you have it |

Scar manual doesn't reference and trigger group parts..google the we m4 diagram for the trigger group as they are the same
airsoftparts.ca has the TSC http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1670 I had the same issue and temporarily corrected it by shimming the firing pin hole with very fine harpsichord wire and jammed the pin back in, still works but I've since bought a spare trigger group and upgraded it with all TSC parts. Some claim these parts don't fit for them, mine dropped in like stock parts. For the most part shimming and jamming the pin back in should work

also with the npas kit make sure you install it correctly if not you will have a crush nozzle.
Currently have 4 ra tech nozzles and 2 npas kits for just in case kind of thing. |

@Jamuke
Where did you find a spare trigger group for the WE Scar? Anyways, a little update. I got the replacement parts I ordered, and replaced the stock parts (just the firing pin delay and valve knocker, not the NPAS kit). It worked again for a bit on semi, but then it stopped working again. Upon inspection, it seems like there are a couple of problems happening, at least from I can see (I'm no expert). The valver knocker seems to just sit forward, and not move back (like its stuck or something). Edit: Nvm, found the problem. I didn't put the L-shaped silver plate back in correctly. Silly me. :P Just another thing though, does anyone know where to get replacement ball bearings for the selector switch? Or what size they are? I lost one of mine. |
