Cleaning paintball goo off gear
So yeah pretty self explanitory, what would be a good way/best way to get paintball goo, out of my kit, I've got 600d and 1000d Codura stuff.
hand wash detergent? Just water? Laundry detergent? I did a quick search in the nub forums and the FAQ groups to no avail. Thanks! Ozone06

Since most paintballs are vegetable oil based or something like that just blast them with the garden hose and give them a quick spot scrub. That what I always used to do.
I tossed a plate carrier in the washer once and there was also no problems either.

This may not be the BEST suggestions but:
Dawn Dish Soap : Gentle on hands, oh...and on your gear. For stuff that doesn't seem to want to come out : Lighter fluid and a brush.

The paint should be water soluble. But the shells I find that I have trouble getting out. Probably need to get to scrubbing, ugh..

My old OD Tunic had a slightly blue tinge because it was used by a baller before. I got it for like $12.
Anyways you can't see the stain anymore now. Al I ever did with it was just get it dirty by playing and when I get home I hand wash it a bit to get the really dirty/muddy parts clean (mixture of mild soap (I've tried both dish detergent and laundry detergent, either one works) and water) and tossing it in the washer afterwards (in a separate load separate to my regular clothes). I have an LG High Efficiency washer and I set it to normal wash and high "soil" (I assume it's meant for like grass stains from soccer gear and such but it does the trick for me). Other than that I don't know, my paintball stain kind of just disappeared after a few washes (5 washes maybe).

Warm water with Dawn dish soap give pretty good results. Anyway the best thing to do is to have a BDU, and a vest only dedicated to paintball field.
We have an indoor paintball field here in Montreal that we play Airsoft in, but everything is soaked with paint, so you really need to have a special outfit for that no choice! |

I just blast it with warm water and it all comes off. Just hang to dry and you are good to go the next day.
