AK-47 Disassembly

I recently disassembled my Kraken Aftermath Ak-47 to fix a problem related to the motor meshing with the gears in the gearbox. After reassembling it, I'm having a hard time putting back on the plastic piece that has the cocking lever on it and that covers/ fits over the hop-up adjuster. It seems as if it won't fit on properly. If anyone could help me with any tips on fitting it back on the gun that would be much appreciated.
